Completion of this four hour live fire course will address the safe and effective use of a handgun in structured and non-structured scenarios both in and outside the home. The following topics will be addressed during this course:
- Safety considerations
- Equipment considerations (selection, placement, access)
- Tactical Weapons Handling (proper stance and grip, sight alignment/sight picture, trigger manipulation, recoil management)
- Drawing from a holster
- Loading/reloading your weapon (tactical/selective reloads)
- How to clear malfunctions (immediate action/remedial action drills)
- Timed and untimed shooting drills
Administrative Details
- Cost: $150.00 per person (payable by cash or check at the start of class).
- Firearms and all necessary equipment provided as required at no charge.
- Ammunition required: 250-300 rounds; can be provided on site however, if you bring your own ammunition it must be factory loaded.
